Utah Shakespearean Festival
Each summer in Cedar City, a replica of the Globe Theatre comes to life with the plays of the most famous author in the English language. People come from all over the world to see William Shakespeare's comedies and tragedies at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, held on the campus of Southern Utah University.
Three Shakespearean classics and three modern plays are held in the repertory each season. Famous contemporary playwrights such as Tennessee Williams, Thornton Wilder, George Bernard Shaw, Arthur Miller, George S. Kaufman, and Edna Ferber are featured.
In addition to the professional performances, the Festival offers Royal Feasts, Greenshows, celebrity seminars, and backstage tours. Reservations are suggested. For tickets or information call 1.800.PLAY.TIX (752-9849) For more information, visit their website at www.bard.org
