PAROWAN
Parowan, the Mother Town of southern Utah, was settled on January 13, 1851 by Mormon pioneers. From Parowan, groups were sent to settle the other communities of southern Utah, northern Arizona and southern Nevada. This area has a rich heritage filled with reminders of those who have lived here in the past. We hope you will take every opportunity to learn about and visit Parowan's historical sights.
At the present time Parowan is comprised of small community oriented service and supply businesses. The emphasis of the industrial segment is local agriculture and ranching.
